Far-left activists shut down Hollywood streets during 'trans day of vengeance'

On Friday, Trans Rights Activists (TRA) shut down the intersection of Hollywood Blvd and Highland in Los Angeles for almost an hour to "protect trans lives" and police looked on the actions but did nothing to prevent the activists from stopping traffic.

Chants of "trans lives matter" and "trans rights are human rights" filled the air as part of their "day of vengeance" rally and activists later marched to the police station with more demands for "trans rights."

Many of the protestors carried signs stating "gender affirming care saves lives," and "protect trans lives," but some of the signs and protestors didn't seem to have anything to do with "trans rights." One activist got on the microphone and stated that they wanted to give land back to indigenous people while others held signs to denounce "uganda's anti-lgtb bill."

Storm Robbinson reported on twitter that the event seemed to be organized by ANTIFA and BLM. Who at one point surrounded him and would not let him film the events. He did note however there were many in the crowd who made it known that they were simply there to exercise their right to assemble.
 

This rally was one of many that took place across the county on "trans day of visibility" while some organizations around the country aimed to hold "trans day of vengeance" events, which were started by the Our Rights Organization DC. They claim that "visibility isn't enough."

The broader "trans day of vengeance" event was canceled due to a “credible threat of life and safety."

Many prominent conservatives were locked out of their Twitter accounts for bringing awareness to the flier the group had posted. 

This also comes as violence around trans issues has erupted around the world. Including a school shooting that took the lives of three adults and three children at a Christian school in Nashville. In the days after the shooting, TRAs hosted "Die-ins" and other protests at state capitals across the country in protest of what they claim are “anti-trans” legislations.
