Finance Minister Bill Morneau rushed away from reporters earlier today when pressed on his alleged involvement in the SNC-Lavalin affair.

During a press conference the Finance Minister faced repeated questions on his participation in the alleged political pressure cited by the former Justice Minister Jody Wilson-Raybould during yesterday's

"On September 17th, the same day that Jody Wilson-Raybould met with the Prime Minister, she said that her Deputy Minister had said that Finance told her that they wanted to make sure the Director of Public Prosecutions understands the impact of doing nothing in the case. Do you believe it's appropriate for you department to seek influence in the prosecutorial function in this way?" asked a reporter from the National Observer.

"I'm just not aware of anything in that regard so I can't comment on that," said Morneau.

Shortly after, while reporters still hounded him with questions, the Minister stormed out of the room.
