Last January, a plane full of almost 200 refugees from Wuhan, China, arrived at March Air Reserve Base in Riverside, CA, and were met with no bio-security protocols whatsoever.
These findings are the results of two federal reports, one performed by the Office of Special Counsel, and the other issued by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The Chinese nationals, flying into the US from the place where the novel coronavirus is assumed to have originated, deplaned without even so much as wearing masks. The officials who greeted them were not using any personal protective equipment (PPE) either.
According to Fox News, these health officials a short time later, boarded commercial flights to various destinations across the country.
However, none of the people on the Wuhan flight tested positive for the novel coronavirus at any point, therefore, the "transmission apparently did not occur from the deployment."
The report also exonerated then General Counsel of the HHS, Robert Charrow, as it found that he acted quickly to resolve any potential issues caused by the entrance of the foreign nationals without proper protocols, including requiring masks to be used by all concerned in similar situations going forward.
A second group of people fleeing Wuhan arrived at the same location on Feb. 5 and were met by properly trained and equipped officials.
