According to CTV News, a vehicle accident occurred in the Saguenay area yesterday involving a three-wheeler smashing into a parked car. Shockingly, the driver of the three-wheeler then fled the scene of the accident, abandoning his five-year-old child.
The vehicle accident occurred on Victoria St. in the La Baie neighborhood of Saguenay after the operator of the three-wheeler lost control of his vehicle. He appeared to be heavily under the influence of some substance that was impairing his judgement.
Authorities at multiple levels are currently searching for hit man, who will be facing multiple charges for the incident, and possibly also for abandoning his child.
People at the scene took care of the child and called the local chapter of Protection de la Jeunesse (Quebec’s Child and Family Services), who sent personnel out to take possession of the child and try to find its mother.
Canada and the Quebec in general has not at all been immune to increases in criminal acts and incidences of this nature in the past several months. Some experts say this is probably due to deteriorating collective mental health due to the pandemic and issues surrounding it.
