Doug Ford has kicked out York-Centre MPP Roman Baber, after he wrote him a letter asking him to reconsider the lockdowns. This makes Baber the fifth MPP to be kicked out by Doug in the last two years.

Baber wrote a letter to Premier Ford this morning titled "The Lockdown is deadlier than COVID". In his letter, he highlights the facts about COVID-19 and hospital occupancy.

Baber then went on to describe the multiple consequences of lockdowns on people's health, the economy, and children. "The medicine is killing the patient. I write on behalf of my North York constituents and plead for the millions of lives and livelihoods ruined by Ontario's public health restrictions," Baber Wrote

In response, Ontario Premier Doug Ford kicked Baber out of the PC Caucus and has banned him from seeking re-election as a Progressive Conservative. Ford also called Baber's comments irresponsible.

Baber is the fifth person who has been kicked out of the PC Caucus in the last two years. This follows the departure of Jim Wilson, Randy Hillier, Amanda Simard, and Belinda Karahalios.

When asked by The Post Millennial about his thoughts on Baber being thrown out of caucus, MPP Randy Hillier said "It is so self evident, it is as clear as an uncloudy day, our response to covid is far more enduring and far more harmful than the virus itself, and all the evidence and the facts are there. The people are not wanting to see the facts."

"What Roman did, I'm very proud of him for doing that, I know that there are a lot more people in caucus that feel the same way, who look at the evidence, at the facts, and come to a very different conclusion than these nihilists at public health."

When asked if he had a message to the rest of the PC caucus MPP Hillier said "We can't live a lie as individuals and we can't live a lie as public figures, our constituents deserve more than us living a lie. I know it's sometimes hard to speak outside of the herd but that's why we get elected, we're supposed to be leaders, not followers. Leadership sometimes comes with some bruises."

The Ontario Ministry of Health has offered a rebuttal to Baber's letter.

Ford issued a stay-at-home order that came into effect yesterday at 12:01am. He has also previously called those who disagree with his lockdowns "yahoos" and told people that every time they leave their homes, they "put people in jeopardy."
