Bertrand Charest, who was previously a national ski coach was convicted of several sex-related crimes involving young women has received a conditional release after serving just a fraction of his original 12 year sentence.
The court found Charest guilty of 37 charges in June 2017, involving nine women from the ages of 12 to 19 according to CBC News. The charges included sexual assault and sexual exploitation of women he coached throughout the 1990s.
Last year, 21 of the 37 counts were dropped by the Quebec Court of Appeal and Charest’s sentence was reduced by 21 months—leaving him with four years and nine months.
It was determined by the Parole Board of Canada that Charest has a low risk of re-offending.

In Dec. 2017, this predator was sentenced to over 7.5 years in prison.
Now he's getting full parole.

According to Geneviève Garon of Radio-Canada, Charest plans to work as an engineer when he returns to the workforce.
