Three men and one boy have been arrested in connection with the attempted robbery of an armoured truck in Scarborough, Ontario on February, CP24 reports.
Toronto Police Service said three masked suspects ambushed two armed guards as they left a bank near Morningside and Milner avenues.
One of the guards locked himself inside of the truck while the other was disarmed and held at gunpoint while being demanded to give the suspects money. Luckily, an alarm was triggered
Toronto police connected the group to a January 19 bank robbery in Drumbo, Ontario. Police say they found the suspects in a stolen car on February 13. Officers recovered a replica handgun and loaded semi-automatic rifle.
Shahroze Raja, 18, of Kitchener, Ismael Isse, 18, of Kitchener, Imran Kayani, 22, of Brampton and a 17-year-old Kitchener boy who cannot be identified under the terms of the Youth Criminal Justice Act are all facing charges in connection with the robberies.
