Earlier on Friday, the Canada convoy protesters in Ottawa were seen dancing to music to pass the time as the second official weekend of their demonstrations begin. These activities are in addition to the soup kitchen recently set up in the downtown area.

Protesters gathered around on Friday to play music and dance to it while truckers continued to honk their horns in continued demonstration against vaccine mandates for truckers. It’s said that the honking isn’t actually continuous in Ottawa. Rather, the technique is to honk for ten minutes at the start of every half hour.

This information comes from The Post Millennial’s Beth Baisch, who is on scene filming the activities of those participating in the protest.

Baisch said dancing is an activity that the trucker convoy protesters have taken to doing to pass the time.

"The intersection of Rideau Street and Sussex Drive often has people dancing and having fun. In-between speeches at Parliament Hill there has been dancing too (see: We are the world). Indigenous drummers are among those partying, keeping the beat with their drums. Macarena is another good example."

She describes the mood as upbeat. Those who don’t physically dance are often seen at least clapping and humoring the moment. It’s people of all ages, dancing to a variety of music from around the world in an enclosed location surrounded by trucks.

Meanwhile, the CBC admitted on Thursday that their earlier claim on broadcast about the potential for Russian involvement in the protests was unfounded.

This is in contrast to the comments from the likes of Prime Minister Trudeau and the Canadian establishment who have claimed the trucker convoy is malicious. To that end the Ottawa Police Chief said any police seen supporting the demonstrations will be investigated. Cops in the areas have begun handing out tickets and other fines to those honking.

"The demonstrators in this red zone area remain highly organized, well-funded, and extremely committed to resisting efforts to end the demonstration safely," authorities allege.

Earlier on Friday, the Ottawa Police Service announced a response update where they explained "enhanced intelligence operations and investigations" would be deployed. This while the main goal of the demonstration is to stay "until all COVID restrictions are dropped in Canada."
