Usually someone who is a fugitive from the law tries to keep as low a profile as possible—this was not the case with the recently arrested William Reeves Durga, who decided to mock the police on TikTok.

According to The Blaze, Georgia authorities posted on Facebook asking for the public’s help in locating Dugan. Dugan saw his photo on Facebook, and shared it to TikTok, putting the photo in the background with a video of him enthusiastically dancing over it, and a short text saying “Come and get me b***h”.

The July 2 photo told the general public that the authorities were trying to track down Dugan in connection with a drug investigation. The subsequent video authored by Dugan was an even bigger hit with viewers, however. It managed to get over four million views in just a few weeks.

The LaGrange Police Department issued a statement thanking Durga for his viral video which helped them track him down.

Durga, in turn, stated that he would have been willing to turn himself in to the authorities, but he was worried about potential coronavirus outbreaks in the county jail. He also points out that he had never left home, and that police had never bothered to show up and arrest him there. He said that he got angry seeing the photo on Facebook and made the video for “revenge.”
