Alexander Soros, son of billionaire Democrat donor George Soros has become a frequent visitor to the White House. A report from the New York Post reveals that the younger Soros Visited the White House 14 times in 2020, including one state dinner with French President Emmanuel Macron.
Alexander is already following in his father's footsteps, donating more than $11 Million to left-wing political action committees and growing his influence since 2010. He is the chair of the Open Society Foundation which his father founded to funnel money to left-wing causes. Alexander has posted a number of pictures on his Instagram with influential people, including former president Barack Obama, former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, and current Senate majority leader Chuck Schumer.
Alexander's growing influence has caused some concern on the right. The president of Capital Research Center Scott Walter said that "like his father, he cozies up to White House and congressional leaders willing to do the family’s bidding on such issues as crime, immigration, election policy, and more, as the Soroses exploit every type of giving: money to parties, independent expenditure groups, and so-called charities."
Matt Palumbo, Author of The Man Behind the Curtain: Inside the Secret Network of George Soros, said "All throughout the White House, there is a Soros hold somewhere, and his son is his father’s new ambassador."
President of Judicial Watch, a conservative legal watch group, Tom Fitton reiterated this, saying Alexander was acting as a "George Soros rep they're looking to meet with at the Biden White House…He's still calling the shots, it's his money, his foundations."
George Soros has been a notorious figure in the reshaping of America for decades. Using his fortune he has funded a number of far-left political campaigns and causes, including recently donating $1M to the political action committee that backed Alvin Bragg for Manhattan DA. The same district attorney which sought to indict Donald Trump last month. It is reported that the elder Soros has donated more than $32 Billion around the world since 1984.
The director of Oversight Project at the Heritage Foundation Mike Howell said the Soros legacy is "one of death and destruction in the name of open borders and ending Western Civilization" and the "rogue prosecutor movement may be [its] most damaging purchase in America to date."
The New York Post report notes that the ease of access Alexander has to the White House has only been afforded to a select few Americans. Scott Walter pointed out that there is "no wonder former staffers and grantees of their foundations, donor groups, and lobbying shops are found throughout the Biden administration, from the State Department to the Domestic Policy Council,” and that this shows Alexander seems to be the "most poised of the elder Soros' five kids to eventually lead his family’s multibillion-dollar political and philanthropic network."
