The Biden border crisis hasn't gone away as record arrivals for the months of March and April indicate.  States are taking matters into their own hands and not waiting on the White House to come and rescue them.

As highlighted by The Daily Wire, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is sending Florida's law enforcement officers to aid Texas and Arizona at their southern border.

In the press release announcement, DeSantis gave credit to former President Donald Trump for his strong efforts to curtail illegal migration.

"Governors Abbott and Ducey recently sent out a call for help to every state in the nation, needing additional law enforcement manpower and other resources to aid with border security. I'm proud to announce today that the state of Florida is answering the call. Florida has your back," DeSantis stated.

At the start of June, Texas declared a state of emergency when it came to the Biden border crisis and then followed that up by saying they'd take the border wall project into their own hands, if the White House sought to abandon it.

Instead of a stateside approach, Vice President Kamala Harris went to Central America to tell people there not come to America. It's what her team described Harris doing as tackling the "root causes" of migration. The Guatemalan president placed blame at the Biden administration's feet for the US migration crisis.

Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody had this to say:

"As Attorney General, I am dedicated to ending human trafficking, protecting our children from sexual predators, and fighting the opioid crisis now claiming 21 lives a day in our state, but President Biden is hurting, not helping us achieve these vital public safety goals. The crisis the President created at our southern border makes all of us less safe, and I am proud to stand with Governor DeSantis as he tries to fix the President’s disaster at the border to protect Floridians."

Despite the fact that President Joe Biden officially deputized Harris to take care of the border crisis, she is adamantly refusing to visit the US-Mexico border. Texas Democrat Rep. Henry Cuellar is pleading for the vice president to do it.

Trump has since accepted Abbott's invitation to visit the border together, in what the former president describes as Biden and Harris committing a "grave and willful dereliction of duty."
