Suspect who allegedly shot federal judge's family dressed as FedEx driver kills himself shortly after

The man who allegedly shot and killed the son of New Jersey federal judge Esther Salas and seriously injured her husband while dressed as a FedEx employee, was found dead by suicide, as the strange story continues to raise more red flags.

Salas, who was in the basement and was unharmed in the incident, is the judge responsible for overseeing the Deutsche Bank lawsuit by investors, who allege that misleading and false statements were made by the bank before it paid a $150 million fine due to compliance failures linked to Jeffery Epstein.

“The FBI is investigating a shooting that occurred at the home of Judge Ester Salas in North Brunswick Township, New Jersey earlier this evening, July 19,” the FBI tweeted on Monday. “We’re looking for one subject & ask that anyone who thinks they may have relevant information call us.”

The gunman's death, whose name has yet to be released to the public, was reported by CNN, ABC, and the New Jersey Globe, citing law enforcement officials.

Marion Costanza, a neighbour of Salas', told The New York Times that Salas had previously said she felt worried about her and her family's safety.

"She had some high-profile cases, and she was always a little concerned... There’s no one like them. They’re extremely good-natured. They would do anything for anyone," said Costanza.
