Hate crime charges have been issued for the two Biden supporters charged for stealing a "Make America Great Again" hat from a 7-year-old boy on the final night of the Democratic National Convention in Wilmington, Delaware.

21-year-olds Olivia Winslow and Camryn Amy were identified on camera in the robbery investigations involving the juvenile victim and his pro-Trump mother.

"That's someone else's hat!" the child had shouted as the Democrats retorted with expletives. He pleaded for his property back, to which one of the women responded: “Your mom f***ing likes Trump.”

The women then tossed the MAGA hat over a fence into a dirt-filled construction site where the mother-and-son pair could not retrieve it. The parent also alleged that she was “punched in the face” multiple times during the altercation.

Winslow was taken into custody on Aug. 22 and charged with second degree robbery, second degree conspiracy, and endangering the welfare of a child. Amy was later arrested for similar charges plus assault and attempted assault in the third degree as well as offensive touching.

“Violence in any form is unacceptable, but harming another person — let alone a child — because of the expression of their views betrays the principles on which our country was founded," said Attorney General Kathy Jennings. "Free speech, free assembly, and free expression are sacred, no matter whether we agree with the opinions expressed, and especially when we don’t. That is as true today as it was when the Bill of Rights was ratified. Our Division of Civil Rights and Public Trust will continue to defend everyone's fundamental rights.”

According to WDEL, the Delaware Department of Justice clarified each committed or attempted to commit the crimes with the purpose of interfering with the juvenile victim's free exercise or enjoyment of any right, privilege, or immunity protected by the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, or because the victim had "exercised or enjoyed said right or rights."

Just before the alleged assault, Winslow and Amy were filmed threatening and throwing coffee at Students for Trump activist Katie Daviscourt, who vowed to also file charges.
