Laurence Fox, a popular British performer, created a large amount of controversy over comments he made during an appearance on BBC's Question Time and is now involved in a social media dispute with British columnist Owen Jones, reports UNN News.

Jones has attempted to make the argument that cancel culture does not exist.

Jones said, "Woody Allen continues to make films. Scarlett Johansson is still paid millions to act. Laurence Fox's last TV series was released 2 months ago. Jenna Marbles' YouTube channel remains. Jimmy Kimmel is still paid $15m a year to present. 'Cancel culture' is becoming meaningless."

Fox responded saying, "It’s great isn’t it? People now refusing to be cancelled by you and your cry bully chums?"

Jones proceeded to call Fox a D-list actor and claimed that he is conning people to get their money and continue living his comfortable lifestyle.

"Stop tweeting at me darling. You’re not my type," replied Fox.

A number of Jones’ followers called the remark "homophobic."

Martin Daubney, a former Brexit Party MEP has referred to Jones as "Mr. Cancel Culture" adding that he attempts to shut people down and stop them from doing their work everyday.
