Police in London, Ontario have arrested and charged a police officer. This police officer allegedly gave information to his son that he then used to kill a Liberian war criminal, according to CTV News.
The officer in question is Trevor Gregory, 46, of North York, Ontario. He has been charged with breaching the trust after he gave information to his 22-year-old son.
He has been suspended with pay while he awaits his day in court. He served in the police force for 21 years.
His son has been charged with second-degree murder but remains at large. He has been accused of shooting Bill Horace in London, Ontario.
After the shooting, Horace later died in hospital from his wounds. Horace apparently has ties to a rebel group that participated in the first Liberian civil war in the 1990s. His war crimes were under investigation.
The police officer's son is still on the run alongside three other accomplices. Police have asked the public for any additional information on the crime and the whereabouts of the suspects.
