One of the most recent things to be "canceled" by the mob includes specific cards from the trading card game, Magic: The Gathering.
The charge is that some of the cards created in the 1990's now include insensitive imagery and depictions within card's artwork.
The first card to be targeted by the mob is one called "Invoke Prejudice." The description of the "Enchantment" is: "If opponent casts a Summon spell that does not match the color of one of the creatures under your control, that spell is countered..."
One of the many issues some have taken with the card is that it apparently features imagery reminiscent of the Ku Klux Klan.
Wizards of the Coast—the company in charge of the game—posted a blog that announced it is also designating other terminology as insensitive, such as “Cleanse,” “Stone-Throwing Devils,” “Pradesh Gypsies,” “Jihad,” “Imprison,” and “Crusade.”
The bizarre announcement by the game company reached Joe Rogan's podcast, where he mentioned that Magic: The Gathering was a game played by members of the same group that are working to cancel things they do not like.
Many people have pointed out that the mob is committing what is known as presentism—the act of evaluating and interpreting events in the past through the lens of modern norms and values.
