An Iowa man is facing charges after he placed a threatening phone call to a McDonald's after they forgot his nugget sauce.
Robert Golwitzer Jr. of Ankeny, Iowa is facing felony charges after he told a local McDonald's that he hopes they blow up after they forgot his nugget sauce. Golwitzer Jr. also allegedly threatened to punch an employee over the mix up, according to TMZ.
The 42-year-old would-be bomber was caught after McDonald's employees turned over his phone number to the police. Police simply called the number. They said that Golwitzer confessed then and there to making the phony threat.
Golwitzer then went to the police station, allegedly confessed again and was booked on making a false report of an explosive or incendiary device, a class D felony. Golwitzer was booked into the Polk County Jail Saturday and was released on bond Sunday.
This is not the first McDonald's melt down this month, a Stanford man allegedly threatened to "execute everyone" over not being able to order a happy meal at a local McDonalds. James Springer, 36, of Stafford was later seen brandishing a handgun leaving the restaurant.
A Facebook post from the Stafford County Sheriff in Virginia read, "Employees on scene reported a DoorDash driver was unhappy that Happy Meals cannot be ordered from the breakfast menu. The driver became agitated and, before leaving in a white Toyota sedan, commented that he would return to the store and execute everyone."
"Springer was charged with disorderly conduct, abusive language and four counts of brandishing. He was held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail on a $1,500 bond," the post finishes. It is unclear the outcome of Springer's case.
