Police are seeking the public's assistance after an apparent drive-by shooting in Toronto's west end Monday night. Officers were called to 30 Wallace Avenue, west of Dufferin and Bloor streets, after 11:30 p.m. for a report of gunshots fired.

There they found one man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was treated on the scene and taken to hospital with what paramedics say are serious but non-life-threatening injuries. There has been no update on the man's condition as of Tuesday morning.

Wallace Avenue was closed between Dufferin Street and Pauline Avenue while police investigated the shooting and has since re-opened.

This was the second of two shootings last night in Toronto as two men were injured by gunfire in Etobicoke. Police arrived shortly after 10 pm to find two male victims of gunshot wounds. The men were rushed to the hospital where their injuries were found to be relatively minor.

Anyone with information about either shooting is asked to contact the Toronto Police Service.
