After identifying the attacker involved in the Sunday beating of a truck driver, Portland police are searching for a man who was seen on video violently beating the man, according to Fox News.

Police are searching for Marquise Love, also known as "Keese Love," for allegedly being involved in the attack.

Officers responded to the attack just before 10:30 p.m. after it was said that protestors "chased a white Ford" truck, before it crashed close to downtown. The man was then reportedly dragged out of the truck by protestors and beaten by nine or 10 people.

Police found the man unconscious on the ground and he was taken to a nearby hospital.

"Investigators learned that the victim may have been trying to help a transgender female who had some of her things stolen in the area of Southwest Taylor and 4th Ave, the location where this incident began," said police on Monday night.

In a press release, officials noted that they have tried to contact the 25-year-old a number of times, but have not been successful.

People with further information are asked to contact Det. Brent Christensen at 503-823-2087 or Brent.Christensen@portlandoregon.gov.
