Gordon Stuckless, a convicted sex offender who is known as the 'Maple Leaf Gardens sex offender,' died in hospital Thursday night in Hamilton, Ontario, according to CP24.

Stuckless was charged with sexually assaulting 24 boys between 1969 and 1988, a charge to which he plead guilty. The assaults took place while Stuckless was an equipment manager at Maple Leaf Gardens. He was sentenced to six years after appeal with one year subtracted for time served. In 2001, he was granted parole after only serving two-thirds of his sentence.

In 2013, more victims came out against Stuckless to report historical offences, resulting in 100 new charges.

Stuckless was convicted of sexually assaulting an additional 18 boys over a span of 30 years. He received a 6.5 year sentence, less six months of time served while awaiting trial on house arrest.

The Court of Appeals for Ontario felt the initial sentence was too light and in 2016 they issued a new sentence of 10 years in jail, based on a June 2019 split decision. Six months was again knocked off his sentence for time served while on house arrest.

On Tuesday, he suffered from a brain hemorrhage and was rushed to a hospital, he died Thursday night.
