Marianne Williamson once said that "when it comes to Israel and Palestine, we need a miracle." She condemned in no uncertain terms the moving of the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. And on Twitter, she posted a denial that Israel is the only Mideast nation with a peaceful diversity of religions and cultures.

Dave Rubin took notice of it, and asked her to account for her statement. Williamson deleted the tweet. But the issue stands.

Williamson's statement was in the wake of violence in Israel on Tuesday. Williamson, who ran for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2020 along with a bevy of others, essentially glossed over the issues facing Israel and it's struggle to exist.

For Rubin, the problem is that Williamson isn't making a clear argument. He told The Post Millennial, "In essence she did what lefties always do, makes a blanket argument clamming I'm lying, then when confronted with the truth she deletes. Never makes an actual argument."

Williamson commented that she wanted to rewrite the tweet, and clarified her remarks. She said that Israel is not a nation where coexistence between religious groups is always possible, though she believes that is possible in the US.

Leftists on twitter are being exposed as anti-Israel and anti-Semitic as the violence escalates in the Middle East. Representatives Ilhan Omar and Rashida Talib are among those who have taken up rhetorical arms against Israel, one of the US' staunchest allies.

The Biden administration has taken a much softer stance on the Israeli-Hamas conflict, and has restored funding to Palestinians to the tune of $235 million in April. Biden assured Israel of unwavering support from the US, but has reverted to the Obama-era position of searching for a two-state solution. Trump sought to curry favor with those in the Mid-East who are allied with the Palestinian cause, counting on them to bring pressure for a halt to the violence, with the Abraham Accords.
