In a Facebook group dedicated to McGill University students, many have recently taken to creating posts and polls about issuing student-led consequences for those that have defied Quebec's Public Health decree, Westphalian Times reports.
Screenshots obtained by the Westphalian Times highlights the discussions between students on creating a list of such defiant students, and what to do with said list.
One group moderator asked group members what she should do with the list of names she had compiled, and urged others with names to send those in as well.

Some students suggested "blacklisting them from all McGill events" in the future, with another suggesting enforcing that with a student-run group of "bouncers" to kick them out.

Many students in the group were calling for those in the pre-med program to be banned from continuing in the program and becoming doctors in the future.
One commenter suggested publicly shaming those on the list, and suggested eventually publishing the list. Another said to create a LinkedIn account to expose those breaking the decree to potential employers.

According to Westphalian Times reporter Marie Oaks, the group has since been deleted, potentially in connection with McGill campus harassment and discrimination policies. A group member reached out to Oakes, saying that nothing in the group should be taken seriously, it was a meme page. The group had reportedly posted first and last names of those that attended gatherings in a public park.
An individual from the McGill student FB group has emailed me stating that the group is “private” & a “meme page”.

The page is most definitely not a “meme page” & they are engaging in intimidation & bullying of fellow McGill students. The group uses “McGill University” in name. pic.twitter.com/yW8RHJd23O
The McGill Univeristy students have since deleted the Facebook group likely in fear that they broke @mcgillu's rules against harassment and bullying. pic.twitter.com/dHIXxRHijS

On April 8, new public health measures were introduced across Quebec province. Those in red and orange zone will now be required to wear masks outside. Starting April 11, red zones are under a mandatory curfew from 8pm-5am.
