Conservative MP Michelle Rempel Garner called out the Liberal Health Minister Patty Hajdu, for failing to order COVID-19 vaccines for Canadians. One-third of the planet is set to receive COVID vaccines before Canada. This means Canada is one of the few developed countries in which a COVID vaccine will be unavailable.

Rempel is the Shadow Minister for Health, and has been a vocal critic of Trudeau's poor response to COVID. Patty Hajdu dodged questions earlier in the day when she accused Conservatives of propagating false data from the Toronto Sun. Data shared by the Sun are indeed accurate and factual.

Rempel Garner asked Hajdu multiple times whether Canada will have the required 40 million doses of the vaccine by the new year. Hajdu dodged the question multiple times. Rempel Garner asked if the first dose will be available on January 1st. When Hajdu dodged the question again, Rempel Garner reiterated, but asked whether the doses will be available on January the 2nd. As Hajdu continued dodging the question, Rempel Garner kept elevating the date.

"Can the Minister realize how ridiculous she sounds?" continued Rempel Garner. A question to which Hajdu took offense. Hajdu continued stating she is proud of her work. This led Rempel Garner to a conclusive statement against the Health Minister. "What we just listened to for the last 15 minutes was sheer and gross incompetence that is going to cost Canadian lives, Canadian businesses, hope, mental health."

Rempel Garner continued, "this is not the leadership Canada needs right now. This is someone who is incompetent and derelict in their duty. To sit there and say that they should be proud, that we are behind virtually every other country in the world. two-third of the world population will have access to a vaccine, or some sort of way out of this. Enough is enough."
