MSNBC News host Joy Reid told viewers on Wednesday that they shouldn’t believe anything from law enforcement officials in regards to the fatal officer-involved shooting of Ma’Kiah Bryant on Tuesday evening in Columbus, Ohio.
CRAZYTOWN: Joy Reid says you shouldn't believe anything you hear or see from police about the #MakhiaBryant shooting (which would include body camera footage) b/c it could be proven it was all a lie and the office was unjustified.

Besides, Bryant had cute TikTok videos! pic.twitter.com/ISeVKrb5GJ
Reid spoke of Ma’Kiah Bryant as if she were a senseless victim of police brutality, warning her audience of the horrific video they were about to see.
The MSNBC host highlighted the late Bryant’s life by sharing videos of the teen’s social media beauty tutorials, said she looked "adorable" and was "exhibiting youth and joy."
The host of 'The Reid Out' said that she wished Bryant’s TikTok videos were why Ma’Kiah was risen to prominence, but instead, it was because she was shot and killed by police, which Reid failed to mention was justified.
Thanks @ProfessorCrunk. Her TikTok videos broke my heart. We decided we wanted our audience to see her joyful and alive. Whatever happened at that house between those girls, an adult should have tried to talk them down and help. #mahkiabryant did not need to die. She was a child. https://t.co/WiEqDL7TU5

Joy Reid went on to host a panel, slamming law enforcement officers for the killing of Ma’Kiah and said that people survive knife fights all the time. "The problem is, at this point, everything the police say to me is just a claim that needs to be proven," said Reid in response to the Columbus PD press-conference where they provided details of the 911 call, providing evidence of the justified shooting. "It’s very difficult to trust what they’re saying," continued Reid.
While interviewing the panel, Reid made outlandish claims that the officer shouldn’t have shot Ma’Kiah Bryant because when Reid was in school there were allegedly knife fights "all the time" and teachers were able to diffuse those situations "without guns."
NO JOKE...Joy Reid says knife fights happen all the time and people survive!

Reid's guest then condemned the actions of the police officer b/c it was "child here that was involved in an altercation with someone else."
So kids can wield weapons and you should just let them be? pic.twitter.com/0K54qGF7Wa
A guest on the panel condemned the officer’s actions because "it was a child here that was involved in an altercation with someone else."
10 seconds. No attempt to de-escalate the situation. No attempt to assess or even try to talk the teenaged girls down. It makes you wonder: what’s the point of calling for police help at all, if they only have one mode with our communities: shoot to kill. We need an alternative. https://t.co/o4gBlcYXpE

Although Reid briefly mentioned in the segment that Ma’Kiah had a knife, she failed to condemn Bryant’s actions which led to her being shot and killed by police after attempting to murder another black teen.
People on the right are repeatedly lying about Black Lives Matter protesters, who have overwhelmingly been the targets, not the perpetrators, of violence (unlike right wing groups who have actually attacked and injured police, including on Jan. 6th) https://t.co/d8zolUuLSq

Earlier in the day, the MSNBC host took to Twitter to make more wild claims and lied to her 2 million followers that "people on the right" are lying about Black Lives Matter protesters and that BLM are the real victims, despite nearly a year worth of evidence that Black Lives Matter has rioted, looted, and burned down American communities.
