The driver of a Mustang went viral after doing a number of pretty impressive donuts in the Yonge and Dundas intersection on Monday night. The driver seems to have gotten away with it, at least for now.
Police are still looking to identify the driver of the Mustang, according to CP24.
The donuts were caught on video by onlookers and posted to Instagram on Tuesday night. The video below shows the black Ford Mustang screeching its tires and creating smoke off the pavement as people from the sidewalks watch with mixed emotions.
The Mustang makes several complete rotations before being spotted by a police cruiser who chases after the the Mustang, heading south on Yonge St.
“Officers became aware of a man performing “donuts” and a short pursuit did take place,” said Connie Osbourne, a Toronto police spokesperson. Police were notified of the incident around 10:12pm Monday night. No arrests have been made as of yet however an investigation is underway.
Police are also seeking any information on a black vehicle that was also spotted acting as a traffic blockade, in the northbound lanes of Yonge and Dundas. They are asking that anyone with information call the 52 Division.
