NBC News is being looked into for claims of sexual assault as well as discrimination. This comes only a day after Andy Lack stepped down as chairman of the company after controversy.
The claims about the network have been investigated by the New York Attorney General for around six months.
Officials from a department now referred to as “The Weinstein Unit” since their success in nailing Harvey Weinstein—have interviewed over a dozen women about the alleged violations.
According to the New York Post, Linda Vester, a former NBC News anchor noted that she was interviewed about the claims.
“They wanted to know as many details as I could offer about what Andy Lack’s involvement was in orchestrating a public response against me and a defence or cover-up. He was one of many,” she said.
