In the competitive media space, a new social platform, FreeSpace Social, has announced that it will donate $2,900 in free advertising to every declared federal political candidate who joins as an "in-kind contribution, regardless of party."

Declared candidates wishing to participate in the free advertising offer on FreeSpace will be required to submit a copy of their FEC declaration form to qualify. Declared candidates will also have their individual FreeSpace profile verified immediately upon receipt and approval of the FEC form.

"Political candidates deserve every opportunity available to present their message to the general public without the stringent rules on political advertising associated with mainstream social networks," a FreeSpace Social, Inc. press release reads.

The memo mentions that FreeSpace applies "a kind but firm moderation" with account suspensions enforced for all obscene or inappropriate content. However, the company says it demonstrates "a more permissive stance" than its Big Tech counterparts in regards to advertising, particularly alternative health, religious groups, human trafficking organizations, and bi-partisan political campaigns.

"We welcome candidates from all political affiliations to take advantage of this rare offer of free advertising on our platform," stated FreeSpace CEO Jon Willis in the Oct. 18 press release. "Our hope this will allow for a better-informed public on candidates that align with the values of their communities."

The company seeks to help the public "find the desire to better themselves and their community through unifying actions and experiences."

Using the value reinforcement system (VRS) to find common values, the FreeSpace Actions positively reinforce good habits so users become "addicted" to doing good.

FreeSpace encourages users to share the daily actions and content they believe will add value to their lives and model healthy habits for others to duplicate.

Users post their activities to the activity wall so friends can comment and encourage their progress. Activity cards stack to create a consolidated wall to drive engagement and introduce sponsorships, FreeSpace's website explains.

FreeSpace Social welcomes any social media user "regardless of political ideologies, religion, demographic, race, or nationality" as a platform that" shapes positive culture," which the company says is "needed more than ever in turbulent and divided times." The app is available for download on iOS and Android.
