No reporters asked about Fauci's emails in White House press briefing

Conservative journalists highlighted the glaring absence of any questions pertaining to Dr. Anthony Fauci's leaked emails at Wednesday's press conference at the White House with spokeswoman Jen Psaki.

In Wednesday's White House Press Briefing no one from the White House Press Corps felt compelled to ask about Fauci's thousands of released emails that were the number one trending item on Twitter most of the day.

This week, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests from Washington Post and Buzzfeed resulted in a massive cache of emails from Fauci. Among other things, the emails, which date to early 2020, reveal that Fauci said face masks are not helpful, received information that there was reason to believe the virus was engineered, and advocated early for school closures despite evidence showing that kids were not at high risk of contracting or spreading the illness.

On Twitter, Sen. Rand Paul, who grilled Dr. Anthony Fauci in Senate hearings, called for Fauci to be removed from his current position. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene echoed Paul and promoted her bill, the "Fire Fauci Act." In the bill, Greene says, "Dr. Anthony Fauci, M.D., earned $434,312 in 2020" the bill continues, "Dr. Fauci is not only the highest paid doctor in the Federal Government, but the highest paid of any of the 4,000,000 Federal employees, including the President."

According to Human Events' Jack Posobiec the White House is working on a "exit strategy" for Fauci after the fiasco. Many are shocked by the fact that Fauci was told in January of 2020 that researches were seeing signs that the virus was not evolved naturally but instead engineered and manipulated. Still, Fauci told the public that the lab leak theory was a "myth."

Another revelation from the emails shows that Peter Daszak, a key figure involved in the investigation into the origins of the novel coronavirus in China, thanked Fauci for downplaying the lab leak theory.
