Freelance writer and constant provocateur Nora Loreto posted a tweet on Wednesday wishing that Conservative candidate Peter MacKay and Toronto Sun columnist Brian Lilley would get sick with the COVID-19 coronavirus.
For those who don't quite remember where they heard Loreto's name in the past, she's the same woman who said that Canada only cared about the Humboldt Broncos bus tragedy because of the "maleness, youthfulness, and whiteness of the victims."
I'm trying to not get cynical about what is a totally devastating tragedy but the maleness, the youthfulness and the whiteness of the victims are, of course, playing a significant role.

She would later be the recipient of online backlash after she said that hockey was a cornerstone in perpetuating white supremacy and misogyny.
Loreto quote tweeted a post from Peter Mackay, who was quoting Toronto Sun columnist Brian Lilley. The two were posting about the illegal border crossings at gates such as Roxham Road.
The government just confirmed they’re allowing illegal border crossings. Instead of turning people away, we’re letting them in and paying for their health care and quarantine. There are concerns about having enough equipment just for our own citizens. This needs to stop now. https://t.co/XHHIXcf8ZF

MacKay expressed that Canada was making a bad move letting unknown people enter our country and use our health care system amidst an global pandemic, as well as Prime Minister Trudeau announcing that the border was closed to all except Canadian nationals.
To this, Loreto wished that pandemic against the two.

Nora then went on to tweet at Quillette editor and National Post columnist Jonathan Kay, who had called her out for her constant Twitter antics.
Jon comes to the rescue for his buddy to use this moment to spread more racism. I prefer he be quarantined instead. https://t.co/YtjfFvZfX2

In return and perhaps by force of habit, Loreto accuses Kay of spreading racism, going on to say that she prefers that Kay "be quarantined instead."
