Offspring guitarist Noodles announced on Twitter that the band will be “adding Anheuser-Bush & Jack Daniels products to their hospitality rider. This is "in response to boycotts from other artists over their promotion of TikToker Dylan Mulvaney. Noodles added that they will be doing this “just to piss off a bunch of dimwitted bigots who fear what they don't understand.”
The guitarist, who’s profile says he is a “retired janitor, semi-efficient guitarist, happy drunk, huge spaz, and bleeding heart” made the quote-tweet in response to country star Travis Tritt saying he would be deleting all Anheuser-Bush products from his tour.
Noodles later posted a picture of the Anheuser-Busch product list saying “looks like there’s something here for everyone. Maybe it's time I gave Hurricane Malt Liquor a try.”
The announcement comes as a number of artists have come out to condemn Bud Light's promotion of Dylan Mulvaney as a spokesperson for the brand. Last Monday Kid Rock posted a video, that has now amassed more than 50 millions views, of him destroying a case of Bud Light with a machine gun, saying “F*ck Bud Light and f*ck Anheuser Busch. Have a terrific day.”
As for Tritt, he said that in the 90’s “Anheuser-Busch was ... A great American company that later sold out to the Europeans and became unrecognizable to the American consumer."
He also pointed out that other brands such as Jack Daneils were promoting drag queens and drinkers of the brand should "take note."
All of this is in response to Bud Light sending TikToker Dylan Mulvaney commemorative cans of Bud Light with Mulvaney’s face on them in congratulations for the "365 days of girlhood" project, documenting a year of transition.
Mulvaney has become the topic of much controversy as a number of brands have used the TikToker to promote their products. Thes brands include Kate Spade, Maybelline, Ulta, KitchenAid, Tampax, Nike, and now Bud Light.
Bud Light has since defended their promotion of Mulvaney in a statmement they said the brand "works with hundreds of influencers across our brands as one of many ways to authentically connect with audiences across various demographics and passion points."
Muleveyney was also invited to the White House to ask the president questions pertaining to "trans" issues. Vice President Kamala Harris even congratulated Mulvaney on reaching one year of transitioning.
