A doctor who was arrested on sexual assault charges is facing additional charges after nine more victims coming forward.

Dr. Sam Naghibi, 68, of Newmarket, Ontario, is facing charges of sexual assault including for alleged incidents against one girl as young as 14 years old.

In total, Naghibi faces 11 sexual assault charges, two counts of sexual interference with a person under 16, sexual assault with a weapon and administering a noxious substance.

Naghibi practiced in clinics in Newmarket and Aurora, Ontario, police say.

An investigation was launched into Naghibi on January 29 after one woman said she had been assaulted during her visit to the doctor.
