An 18-year-old Sault Ste. Marie girl dressed up as an elderly woman in order to buy alcohol as part of a social media challenge, reports CTV News.

She recorded the incident on her phone on July 12 and added it to her TikTok account. The video shows the girl dressing as a senior with the help of her friend and a coronavirus face mask.
Despite her nerves, the girl was able to buy the liquor without any problems in the Sault Ste. Marie Market Mall.
She told CTV News that she was nervous as she entered the liquor store as she had never been to one before.
"I was kind of scared," said the girl, "When I got in the store, I was OK."
"We didn't think it was going to work, we thought I would be escorted out by security," she said. "I looked at cheap wine. Then I saw Twisted Tea, didn't find anything, so I just grabbed the Twisted Tea."
She avoided eye contact while she was at the till and the cashier asked her if she wanted help bringing the liquor outside. She nervously responded no.
The girl then went to a second store on Great Northern Road where she was asked by the clerk if she wanted to use Air Miles. She said no and left the store with a 26-ounce vodka bottle.
The LCBO said it is working to fix the issue and is expecting to have a response later on Friday.
The teen says she does not plan to attempting the challenge again.
