Parler CEO and Bongino debunk #ParlerHacked hoax: 'They are just obsessed with us'

False #ParlerHacked claims are propagating on Twitter in the continuing disinformation campaign against the alternative free speech platform.

Parler CEO John Matze debunked the rumours, revealing that the alleged hack is simply a screenshot from a WordPress website that has been repeatedly circulated over the past 6 months—despite Parler’s multiple rebuttals explaining that the company does not use WordPress products, nor WordPress databases.

"All of our databases are hidden behind multiple layers of security and are not accessible via the web," Matze posted on Parler.

Matze called the conspiracy "irresponsible" that uses a "techie"-looking WordPress configuration file, which he said is "only capable of confusing a journalistic hack, not an actual hacker."

"If Twitter continues to fact check others, they should also fact check posts such as these that spread viral misinformation," Matze fired. "Furthermore, we don’t store any personal data, user verification data is deleted on completion, and direct messages cannot send videos/images. All allegations are fake. They are just obsessed with us."

One America News Network's Jack Posobiec commented: "Twitter is allowing a left-wing disinformation campaign about their competitor trend #5 on their platform."

Conservative radio host and high-profile Parler investor Dan Bongino responded: "It’s incredible how stupid liberals are. I mean cosmic levels of stupid. They’ll fall for anything, no matter how dumb, because they have the IQs of mutated toads."

"The #ParlerHack story is fake, & was designed exclusively for lib imbeciles to run with. Of course, they fell for it," Bongino slammed the conspirators.

Bongino named the alleged "tier 1 level life loser" behind the scheme. The accused individual identified as "William LeGate"—a verified blue check mark on Twitter—reportedly attempted to "shake the company down for money."

In LeGate's "bounty program for liberal influencers" inquiry, he acknowledged his burner Parler account used just to "troll," but pressed that he would be "happy" to use his real name and "extensively promote" his presence on Twitter "if properly incentivized."

"This dipshit was dumb enough to send us an email documenting demands," Bongino charged.

After the team "laughed his dopey ass into the Phantom Zone," LeGate shared a "ridiculous" tweet and parley about Parler "censoring" hashtags.

"Of course, the story was totally made up (check the hashtag yourself)," Bongino continued and then slammed the "media morons at Newsweek" and NBC News reporter Ben Collins for publishing the hit piece anyways.

"When LeGate’s parents found out what a loser they spawned (he can’t even pull off a blackmail op), LeGate started another fake news story about Parler being hacked," Bongino unveiled. "Which liberal imbeciles (but I said the same thing twice) ran with because they hate Parler, and they’re dopey."

LeGate tweeted earlier: "Turns out Parler left its database credentials unencrypted, on a public API endpoint. I've redacted their server passwords, but this is very, very bad for Parler."

"They hate Parler because they’re tyrants and totalitarians and they can’t control Parler," Bongino concluded. "The 'hack' story is hoax, the 'censored hashtag' story is a hoax, and I’m sorry if you got played by this human stain LeGate. Thanks."

LeGate deleted his Parler account Thursday afternoon, announcing that "it was fun while it lasted, but my mission is accomplished."
