Pedophiles online are rebranding as 'Minor-Attracted People'

One of the most insidious and disturbing growing communities on platforms like Twitter, Instagram, and numerous message boards is the MAP community—no, these aren’t people who are particularly fanatical about geography. These are out and proud pedophiles who prefer the politically correct phrase “minor-attracted people.”

While this community has existed for several years on social media, their size and presence is growing. Their desire to latch onto the acceptance that the LGBT community has found is clear, as exemplified in many tweets. One can be seen below.

Their game plan is to desensitize people to the label “pedophile” by adopting the more palatable label. They even have their own flag, following in the footsteps of other sexualities and gender identities.

Unfortunately, these sick individuals are playing directly into the hand of folks who hold the bigoted stereotype that LGBT people are inherently predators or pedophiles. It’s a harmful stereotype that has been used against the community for centuries, and it’s being exploited by those who are actual pedophiles. The thought process behind these “pedophile activists” is that if they can force themselves into being considered part of the LGBT community, they’ll have a shield against criticism. Many make it clear that their ultimate goal is to decriminalize sex acts with children.
