A statement from Peel Regional Police says that a 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection with two assaults at two different Brampton parks earlier this month.

The man, Paul Yosif of Brampton, first allegedly approached a woman at a park near Bovaird Drive East and MacKay Street North on Sept. 15 at Massey Park.

Yosif allegedly grabbed the woman by her shoulder forcibly. The victim would break free and call for help, and Yosif allegedly fled the scene.

The second incident, police say, took place on Sept. 21 at 11:30 am when "while on a bicycle, approached a victim in Jayfield Park in Brampton, assaulted her and fled the area."

Yosif has been charged with assault, assault with a weapon, and assault causing bodily harm.

It is believed that there may be more victims in the community, and investigators are continuing to appeal for assistance from anyone who may have information relating to these two incidents.

Anyone with information on this incident, surveillance footage, or dashcam is asked to contact investigators at 905-453-2121 extension 3460. Anonymous information may also be submitted by calling Peel Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), by visiting peelcrimestoppers.ca.
