A chemistry teacher at a Pennsylvania high school was arrested Friday for multiple sexual offenses against a child, adding another case to the growing number of public educators facing a slew of charges for sex crimes against children.
Chambersburg Area High School teacher Benjamin A. Duran-Tobias was placed on administrative leave after he was accused of unlawful contact with a student.
Duran-Tobias was taken into custody and charged with two counts of involuntary sexual intercourse, institutional sexual assault, one count of corruption of minors, one count of unlawful contact with a minor, and one count of indecent assault.
WHTM-TV reported that Duran-Tobias is incarcerated at Franklin County Jail.
Other teachers across America have been in the headlines of late for child sex crimes as progressive activists continue to fight against anti-grooming legislation meant to protect children from grooming behavior that can turn into sexual abuse.
A California charter school teacher was taken into custody on April 6 and charged with 29 counts of lewd acts with children. 35-year-old Anessa Paige Gower is accused of victimizing seven boys, ages 15 to 16, including students of hers.

A former high school choir teacher in Aurora, Illinois, is accused of having sexual contact with a 17-year-old student. 42-year-old Nathan Bramstedt, arrested Friday, was charged with nine counts of criminal sexual assault and three counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, all in a position of "trust/authority."
