Dr. Jordan Peterson responded to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's tweet wherein he congratulated newly elected president of Chile Gabriel Boric, specifically against Trudeau's pledge to "defend democracy."
"'Defending democracy' says the man who bought the lies of his paid stooges at @CBCNews, froze bank accounts, falsely claimed foreign interference & brought in an act meant only to be used for war or utter catastrophe and then photo-opped around Europe to escape the consequences," wrote Peterson, referring specifically to the CBC pulling two articles that said funding to the trucker convoy was largely American.
"If he had an ounce of integrity, he'd resign. But if he had an ounce of integrity, he wouldn't have run for PM on nothing but his superficial charm and the name brand recognition of the Trudeau dynasty," Peterson wrote.
CBC has pulled the second false story about the Freedom Convoy, according to Blacklock's Reporter, on Friday. The story in question claimed foreigners played a role in the protest.
Specifically, the claim was made on a radio broadcast of The World This Hour, self-described as "Canada's most trusted audio newscast." According to the Western Standard, the network released a statement on the matter.
"On February 10 in a report about the protest convoy CBC Radio's The World This Hour incorrectly said GoFundMe ended a fundraiser for the protesters over questionable donations to the group." No explanation was given in CBC's statement.
The prime minister would then go to Europe for meetings with international leaders, with his itinerary on Thursday showing that he had seven photo ops planned.
