Conservative Finance Critic Pierre Poilievre will reportedly be shuffled out of the party's finance critic role, an anonymous source told CBC News.

According to the source, who was not authorized to speak on the matter, BC MP Ed Fast will assume the role.

Poilievre will be moved to serve as shadow minister for jobs and industry.

According to the anonymous source, the demotion is not considered a demotion, and instead is a part of an effort by the Erin O'Toole Conservatives to press the Trudeau Liberals on their jobs and economic approach during the pandemic.

Poilievre became well-known as an attack-dog figure the Conservatives, especially during the WE Charity scandal.
