York Regional Police are investigating human remains found in the City of Vaughan during an investigation.
On May 19, police were conducting an investigation on a property in the City of Vaughn. An officer found what appeared to be bone fragments, and the remains were sent to the coroner’s office for testing.
According to a media release, the tests came back indicating that the remains were human, and the chief coroner’s office has been contacted.
There is no word on the cause of death or manner of death at this time. It is unknown what police were investigating at the time the discovery was made.
According to York Regional Police, the remains have been sent off for more testing to help determine the cause of death. Police say there is no concern for public safety at this time connected to this incident.
