During the reoccurring Wednesday speech from his Vatican City library, Pope Francis spoke about global wealth discrepancies and the availability of vaccinations for the poor.

Pope Francis called for universal vaccines, not only reserved for the rich.

As the coronavirus pandemic continues to claim lives and destroy economies across the world, the Pope has used his power and force to call for a dramatic shift in the way the world works post-pandemic.

He has demanded that after things get back to normal, the normalcy should include more respect for the environment and the poor.

"It would be sad if this vaccine were to become the property of this nation or another, rather than universal and for all...It would be sad if, for the vaccine for Covid-19, priority were to be given to the richest" the Pope exclaimed.

Pope Francis' message is in line with the World Heath Organization and its Director-general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus', who is worried about the spread of "vaccine nationalism" or protectionist policy in the distribution of said vaccines.
