An Antifa member from Portland, Ore. was arrested for alleged violence and drug crimes near a pride event in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho last Saturday. Robert John Stoms (dob 10-28-88, pronouns it/its) crossed state lines to go to the controversial pride event that was protested by conservatives and members of the far-right group Patriot Front.
Stoms uses the fake name "Switch" among Antifa networks. Antifa raised cash for Stom's bail using Twitter and CashApp and Venmo. When it lived as a man, it was profiled for a report in the Guardian along with its far-left partner, Nectar "Noomi" Odabashian.
The national and international press reported extensively on the arrests of the 31 Patriot Front members. Video footage showing them being detained as a large group on the grass went viral. No press has reported on the arrest of the Antifa member, who allegedly engaged in violence by fighting.
On Monday, the sheriff's office in Kootenai County, Idaho (where Coeur d'Alene is) also announced that it had initiated an investigation into a family drag show at the pride event where "a dancer's genitals may have been exposed."
