Pro-abortion militants target pregnancy centers using map created by university professors

As attacks on pregnancy and pro-life centers continue throughout the US, it has been revealed that many pro-abortion militant groups are finding the addresses of such centers through a map created by university professors.

According to Fox News, these groups, like local Antifa groups or members of the leaderless group Jane’s Revenge, have been using the "Crisis Pregnancy Center Map," created by two professors at the University of Georgia, to set their targets.

The map was created by Drs. Andrea Swartzendruber and Danielle Lambert, with the stated purpose being "to provide location information about all of the crisis pregnancy centers operating in the US." The website refers to these crisis pregnancy centers as "fake women’s health centers."

In a pop up message on the website, the authors condemned using the map to incite violence against said centers.

"The Crisis Pregnancy Center Map was created in 2018 to promote academic research and increase public awareness about crisis pregnancy centers. The authors of the site condemn all threats or acts of vandalism or violence against crisis pregnancy centers."

Despite this disclaimer, groups have used the exact addresses listed on the website to seek out targets for vandalism and arson.

Puget Sound Anarchists posted a link to the map in a post made about a vandalism at a Vancouver, Washington pregnancy center. Crisis pregnancy center Options 360 was vandalized with red paint, and the phrase "Jane’s Revenge."

The group also told their followers, "You can find your nearest fake abortion clinic on the Crisis Pregnancy Center Map."

Twin Cities Encampment Responders, a Minnesota-based group, posted a link to the map to their Twitter on Friday following the Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe v Wade, stating that "information is power."

In Colorado, the group Colorado Liberation & Autonomy shared the map link to Twitter, writing, "Defend reproductive rights. If abortions are not safe, neither are you."

A photo attached to the tweet continued on, "your local crisis pregnancy center tonight. Mask up, stay dangerous."

The photo was shared by Colorado Springs Anti-Fascists, which added to it’s share, "for the night owls."

Attacks on centers like these began last month following the draft leak from the Supreme Court. Leading up to the official June 24 decision from the court, Jane’s Revenge issued an open letter stating that attacks would increase on these pregnancy centers.

They said that "We have demonstrated in the past month how easy and fun it is to attack" these centers, and assured that future actions "may not come in the form of something so easily cleaned up as fire and graffiti."

In response to the open letter and the group’s actions across the US, House GOP members have urged the FBI and Department of Homeland Security to designate the group’s members as "domestic terrorists."
