Quebec Premier Francois Legault had a message for children concerned about the toonie they may not receive under their pillows when they lose a tooth.
At Tuesday's daily press conference on coronavirus, Premier Legault said that the tooth fairy, the tooth-loving sprite that rewards children for losing a tooth, is an essential worker.

"For the children asking, I can confirm that the tooth fairy now is on the list of essential service and is immune to the coronavirus."
Legault's comments dispel rumours that the tooth fairy would be taking time off during the global pandemic.
Quebec has been Canada's hardest hit province in terms of virus cases, also confirming another 29 deaths on Tuesday. Cases jumped by 760 on Tuesday.
Out of 346,507 people tested in the country, 17,049 have been confirmed cases. The death toll sits at 345.
