Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II met with Justin Trudeau on Monday, in what is the Queen's first official in-person meeting since she contracted COVID-19 in February.

The Queen, 95, caught Covid while rumours of her health were already beginning to swirl. She caught the virus just days after celebrating her platinum jubilee, marking 70 years on the British throne.

The Queen was said to have suffered from mild cold-like symptoms while sick, and had to cancel several engagements, including from online events. She continued working in a light capacity, however.

Prime Minister Trudeau was asked about the Queen's health during a press conference on Monday, where he said he had the privilege of having known the Queen for 45 years, and said that his conversation was "insightful and perspicacious."
