RCMP Chief Chris Leather addressed media today to provide updates on the heinous Nova Scotia shooting, which Leather says took the lives of "excess of 19 victims."

Leather said that some victims were known to the suspect, while others were random. Sixteen crime scenes have been set up across the province, as teams gather evidence.

Leather also gave updates regarding the the one RCMP member who was injured on Sunday, Const. Chad Morrison, who is now at home recovering from a gunshot wound from with the suspect.

Leather said that all scenes are being investigated, with some being more difficult than others. Five structure fires were also set during the shooting spree, and the RCMP fear that there could be more victims in those residences.

Leather believes the death toll will rise in the coming days.

"We have had five structure fires, most of those being residences, and we believe there may be victims still within the remains of those homes which burnt to the ground. So, that part of the investigation is still very much on going, and again speaks to why we don't have a final total."

Leather also revealed that the suspect's uniforms, made to appear like RCMP uniforms, may have been authentic, or very well made duplicates.
