Nova Scotia RCMP has advised residents to stay indoors following reports of gun shots fired in the Haliburton area of Hammonds Plains, Nova Scotia.
Hammonds Plains is a suburb of Halifax, being only a 25 minute drive away.

"RCMPNS are responding to reports of shots fired (unconfirmed) in the Haliburton Heights area of Hammonds Plains," tweeted the RCMP, asking residents to remain indoors.

RCMP arrived at the scene in a "wooded area" near Hammond Plains. There has been an additional report of shots fired in the Omega Court area of Hubley.
Police currently on scene in wooded area between Haliburton Hills & Highland Park Heights Sub in relation to a report of shots fired. There has been a additional report of shots fired in the Omega Crt area of #Hubley. Residents are to stay inside #HammondsPlains #Tantallon
