In a series of panicked text messages obtained by New York Post, a former business partner to Hunter Biden referenced Joe Biden as the "Big Guy" on the same day The New York Post broke the story about Hunter Biden's "Laptop from Hell."
Former British Special Forces officer James Gilliar, 58, exchanged a series of text messages with an unnamed individual discussing the NY Post's report on Hunter Biden's laptop on October 14, 2020. A whistleblower reportedly provided the text messages to Republican congressional investigators that are probing into the laptop. Gilliar reportedly has ties to UK intelligence services, NY Post reports.
During the exchange, Gilliar informed the unknown recipient that the contents in the laptop regarding Hunter Biden's shady foreign business deals would not be damaging, according to the outlet.
The unknown individual asked Gilliar, "Hunter and/or Joe or Joe's campaign [would] try to make it 'Oh, we were never involved' … and try to basically make us collateral damage?"
"I don't see how that would work for them…"Gilliar responded. "I think in the scenario that he wins they would just leave sleeping dogs lie."
"If they lose, honestly, I don't think that the Big Guy really cares about that because he'll be too busy focusing on all the other sh*t he is doing," Gilliar added, discussing The Post's report.
This is not the first time Gilliar has referenced Joe Biden as the "Big Guy."
While discussing foreign business dealing with Chinese investors, Hunter Biden's business partner, Tony Bobulinski, warned Gilliar through a series of text messages not to mention "Joe Biden's involvement" with foreign business deals, according to a trove of electronic records that were publicly released in 2020. This exchange occurred in May 2017.
According to The Post, Gilliar sent an email to Hunter, his uncle Jim Biden, and other business partners on May 13, 2017, where he referenced the "Big Guy" as the driving force behind their multimillion-dollar deal with Chinese energy conglomerate CEFC.
Gilliar said in the email that 10 percent of the CEFC joint venture would be held by Hunter "for the big guy," the outlet reports.
That email was among the files that were found on Hunter Biden's abandoned laptop at a Delaware repair shop in April 2019.
Tony Bobulinski, a United States Navy Veteran and former associate to Hunter Biden, publicly declared in October 2020 that "big guy" was a reference to President Biden. Bobulinski then alleged that Joe Biden was involved in the planned CEFC deal.
President Biden has repeatedly denied that he is aware or involved with his son's foreign business deals.
Bobulinski provided the FBI with messages and documents related to the Biden family in 2020, and informed FBI agents that he allegedly met with Biden on May 2, 2017 so he could be vetted for a trsuted role as CEO of the business deal with CEFC. They reportedly met at the lobby bar of the Beverly Hilton with Hunter and Jim, The Post reports.
Bobulinski claimed that during the meeting Biden told him, "Thank you for helping my son… My son and my brother trust you emphatically, so I trust you."
Bobulinksi and President Biden met for a second time at the Milken Institute Global Conference, where Biden reportedly said, "Keep an eye on my son and brother and look out for my family."
Shortly after the meeting, Gilliar sent a message to Bobulinski on the WhatsApp messaging service and warned him not to mention Biden's involvement in the CEFC deal, The Post reports.
"Don't mention Joe being involved, it's only when u are face to face, I know u know that but they are paranoid," Gilliar said to Bobulinski.
"OK they should be paranoid about things," Bobulinski replied.
A federal grand jury in Wilmington, Delaware has launched a probe into Hunter Biden's shady foreign business deals, and the grand jury has centered the identity of the "big guy" as part of a conspiracy probe into the Biden family's business dealings overseas.
