Embattled Democratic New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is facing a sixth allegation of sexual harassment, Times Union reports.
The woman, who remains anonymous to the public, filed the allegation with the state's attorney general. The attorney general's office is also investigating other allegations of sexual harassment made against Cuomo.
According to the new allegation, Governor Cuomo inappropriately touched the alleged victim while she was working at the governor's mansion. The allegation was filed over the weekend.
Cuomo has faced scrutiny over his treatment of women over the past few weeks after it was alleged that he sexually harassed multiple former aides. Cuomo has refused to accept that he sexually harassed anyone, although he has admitted to acting "in a way that made people feel uncomfortable."
Alongside the sexual harassment allegations, Cuomo has been accused of covering up the number of deaths from coronavirus in nursing homes after he ordered such facilities to take in patients who had tested positive for coronavirus. Such a coverup was apparently implemented to prevent the Trump campaign from using it as a political football during the 2020 election.
Cuomo has rejected calls to resign from his position as Governor and now faces calls of impeachment.
