WATCH: Steve Hilton outlines four years of scheming to undermine Trump

Political commentator Steven Hilton called out Democrats for what he perceives to be hypocrisy Sunday night on his show on Fox News as Democrats denounce President Donald Trump's claims of voter fraud.

Hilton began by playing footage of prominent Democrats and their supporters starting with late night comedy host Stephen Colbert, whos recent rant about Trump's voter fraud allegations went viral. "What I didn't know is that it would hurt so much. I didn't expect this to break my heart. For him to cast a dark shadow over our most sacred right."

"What a charlatan!" Hilton exclaimed. "For four years they have plotted and schemed to undermine and overturn 'that sacred right' of American democracy."

Hilton pointed to footage of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Congressman Ted Liu, and the late former Congressman John Lewis describing Trump's victory and presidency as "illegitimate" and the popular Democratic slogan "not my President."

He also pointed to other footage of Hillary Clinton where she suggested "Joe Biden should not concede under any circumstances." "This may be a Democrat norm, but it's certainly not a democratic one" said Hilton.

"Any evidence of fraud or irregularity should be brought forward and the courts should adjudicate." Hilton continued, arguing that this is the position of folks across the political spectrum, including President Donald Trump, moderate Republicans such as Mitt Romney, and his Democratic challenger Joe Biden.

Multiple irregularities have been reported, which as Hilton pointed out happens every election. In the northern Michigan county of Antrim, 6,000 votes were handed to Joe Biden due to a "software glitch," which lead to the appearance that Biden had won the small county by a landslide margin. Trump carried the county by over 2,500 votes after the results were corrected, with Republicans expressing concern about how the software, which was used in 47 Michigan counties, may have impacted the election.

Project Veritas released their own video alleging voter fraud recently, presenting testimony from who they say is a worker for the US Postal Service. The man claims that there was a scheme by individuals within the USPS to backdate postage to before the election in Michigan so that they could be counted. Project Veritas also released footage from Nevada which appears to depict a USPS worker admitting to planning voter fraud.

These allegations have not yet been authenticated, thus far no corroborated evidence of widespread, coordinated, and game changing voter fraud has been presented by the Trump campaign. The increasing reports of irregularities, however, have energized Republican calls for investigation into the matter, and Republicans in Congress are now calling upon Attorney General William Barr to begin a formal investigation of the voter fraud allegations.

"When it's this close, this important, with this many late changes to the rules, of course we should investigate thoroughly, not just for the sake of seeing our chosen candidate win but for the sake of faith in our system," Hilton argued. He further asserted that Democrats would be encouraging Democrats to do the same had the situation been flipped.

Hilton spent the final five minutes of the segment praising Trump for "defeating a 50-year establishment consensus," a "tower achievement" which he says is recognized by individuals across the political spectrum. He pointed to Trump's supposed policy victories on trade, China, immigration, and more, although he did not point to specific policies which he believes Trump to have been victorious on.

"President Trump has turned the Republican Party into a modern, multiracial working-class coalition," Hilton said, an assertion made by many Republicans in recent days. Meanwhile, Hilton says Trump has turned "the Democrats into the party of the coastal and urban elite."
