Taiwan has sent 500,000 desperately needed surgical masks to Canada which will go to the most vulnerable Canadians and medical professionals.
These marks were of sound quality, which stands in sharp contrast to the masks made in China that were sent to Canada at the height of the regime's mask diplomacy.
The Chinese masks turned out to be entirely contaminated or decrepit, and the Chinese companies have had to send another batch to Canada, totally free of charge.
Taiwan is an island democracy off the coast of China, possessing a population of 23 million. China prevented Taiwan from taking part in the WHO, which resulted in numerous embarrassing incidents from the global organization. This interview, for example:

Despite Taiwan's non-membership status with the WHO, their pandemic policy has been second-to-none. At the start of the pandemic, Taiwan was expected to be the second worst affected country. Due to their leadership, however, they only suffered six deaths.
Taiwan's roaring success has allowed them to donate masks, and other medical equipment, across the western world. There are no strings attached to these donations.
Thank-you Taiwan! Merci Taiwan! ????! We are deeply grateful for Taiwan’s donation of 500,000 surgical masks to Canada / Nous sommes profondément reconnaissants pour le don de 500,000 masques chirurgicaux de Taïwan au Canada. pic.twitter.com/Xw7NJxt4SP

The Canadian government has officially called on the WHO to restore Taiwan's member status, however their criticism of the organization and the Chinese regime stops there.
The WHO has constantly fallen two steps behind Taiwan throughout the pandemic. When the WHO advised against closing borders, Taiwan quickly sealed theirs; when the WHO said coronavirus did not spread from human-to-human, Taiwan advised the world it did.
